Mystery animal

Flying high above the trees 

Sleeping in caves in colonies

In the night and early morning

Blood in their ears roaring

Finding food with echolocation

You can find them all around the nation

All different shapes and sizes

Retreating to safety when the sun rises

Devastated by different diseases and traps

Humans causing some of these mishaps

They will not suck your blood contrary to myth

And will not chase you off a cliff

Have you guessed it? 

You surely have, 

The mystery animal is dark furry bats
